Cobb County: Marietta, Georgia

We had a day in Atlanta before our flight, we decided to explore Marietta, Georgia...about 30 minutes outside Atlanta.

The first order of business was to obtain a set of wheels, $35.00 later we were heading toward Marietta.

One of the biggest reasons of traveling to Marietta was to visit the Museum of Gone with the Wind. It didn't disappoint, it was the largest museum in the world. ACTUALLY, scratch all of that. Fortunately I have a big sister that I think studied Gone with the Wind or was Scarlett in another life and insisted that we go to the museum.
Downtown Marietta, the square resembles Savannah, Georgia.  Its very quaint with lots of little antique stores and eateries.

We went to the cutest tea house on the square with a great view over the city. They had great quiche, chicken salad sandwiches and of course PEACH tea. You can't go to Georgia without getting a taste of their peaches.

To top the meal off we had Gelato. Joseph's ice cream was of course the most fattening, I had low fat sherbet :)

Traveling to Atlanta

The first order of business in Atlanta was to store our vehicle. These people were super nice and very supportive of the military.
Hard at work processing all the vehicles. They take everything out, clean it and mark every knick, ding, scratch even if its there or not :)
I know this pictures is a little random but there is a story behind it. After we processed our vehicle and stored it we found Olive Garden to get some grub. We have had company for a month straight so needless to say we have been eating a little too well. We made a pact to each other that we would eat salads and grilled chicken to slim down. So, in order to help us all out I asked the waiter to not bring the bread sticks. Joseph thought that was blasphemy and quickly spoke up and said, "No, I want the breadsticks!" He said that he couldn't believe I would make that decision without talking to him. :)
This is the best traveling bag, I love it...thanks Mama!

Our Mini kitchen
Livin' out of luggage, I feel like a bag lady :)
God bless his soul for dealing with me and my luggage! Here is the beginning of our travels to Japan. We are still in Valdosta, Ga tying up some loose ends as far as our apartment goes, and out processing.

Easter Sunday

We went to church at Westminster Pres. this morning.  After the service we came back and cooked fried chicken, baked potatoes, and sour cream cookies.  During lunch we realized that this is the first holiday we have been able to spend together because of all the deployments!  We are both very grateful that God has given Joseph a much needed break from deployments this year.

Meagan had to make sure that the cookies were worth eating....they were!

Cinnamon Rolls!!

Might I add...homemade! I have found that Joseph is a mad man when it comes to baking bread, he absolutely LOVES to make bread. We planned last weekend that we were going to make cinnamon rolls for breakfast, it took almost half the day and we ended up having them for lunner (lunch/dinner). We had a great time making them and they tasted scrumptious. *I pledge to whomever comes to visit that we will make these for you.

        Finished Product!

Our First Month of Marriage

Our first meal together using our fine china. :)

Marriage life has been very good, but too good. We have had to cut back and start eating a little more modestly.

Joseph loves having picture frames with no pictures. I think he has told his entire squadron that he hung frames with nothing inside of them, they all think Im a crazy lady...not far from the truth.
My china cabinet, with lots of goodies to display.
Our desk, Uncle Steve made this for our wedding gift.

Today we went to Ousel Falls for a hike.  At the end of the hike was a beautiful frozen waterfall.  This state is beautiful!

Montana Honeymoon 4 Feb.-16 Feb. 2012

The fireplace on our patio.  There are three in our cabin and Joseph runs around all day trying to keep them going.  Meagan gives good moral support! Stuff like," Are you sure that is going to work?"
After our massages at Big Sky Ski Resort. It made Joseph really sleepy, as you can see in the picture.
The view from our front door!
                                                         Really safe driving picture.
About to hit the slopes.

Joseph
